Adventures in Student Teaching

My student teaching experience was unique as it was split between two distinct cultures.  From January 7 - March 1, I student taught with Samantha Grant's 2nd grade class in Browning, MT.  From March 11 - May 1, I student taught in 2nd, 3rd and occasionally 6th grades at Guiyang No. 4 Experimental Primary School in Guiyang, Guizhou, China.

Best Pieces of Academic Work

I thoroughly enjoyed the assignments in Dr. LaBonty's Language Arts EDU 397.

We completed a genre-writing assignment based on Gennifer Choldenko's Al Capone Does My Shirts.  I chose to explore the Golden Gate Bridge.  I created a journal article, newspaper article, program and event flyer:
